Let’s look at the step-by-step process on how to remove scratches from stainless steel.
Step 1 – Apply The Metal Polish Cream To The Scratched Stainless Steel
You can either place the metal polish cream on the the microfiber towel or directly on the stainless steel itself. Determine the direction of the grain in the stainless steel and move in a back and forth motion to ensure you get the metal polish into the scratch marks.
Fine Scratches
To remove the fine scratches it will be an easy task. Just apply the metal polish cream and move back and forth with a little bit of pressure. Ensure you are moving iin the direction of the grain. A gentle buffing should be able to remove the fine scratches. These are the easiest to remove.
Deep Scratches
Deeper scratches require a little more effort. You will need to apply the metal polish cream to the scrubber pad. Then using a little bit of pressure start to rub back and forth along with the grain. Slowly you will see the scratch begin to disappear. Repeat process as necessary.
Tip: This method works very well with uncoated stainless steel. This is not recommended on fingerprint resistant clear coated stainless steel finishes.
