Step-By-Step – How To Remove Slime From Carpet

1 – Using your plastic scraper – scrape off excess slime

Use a circular motion as you slowly pull in each round you go around the slime pulling the slime in as you go. Start from the outside of the slime puddle and work your way in towards the center, scraping off as much loose slime as you can and remove

2 – Using a cup – Mix 1/3 cup of warm water and 2/3 cup of distilled vinegar

Most slime is made of glue or borax. To really break it down you will want to use distilled vinegar. As you pour over the area with the slime, ensure you use enough to cover the slime and all of the carpet that has slime on it.

Tip: If the slime appears to have hardened, leave the distilled vinegar on the slime for an additional 10 minutes

3 – Grab your scrubbing brush to loosen up the residual slime left over using a scrubbing brush

Being careful not to tear up your carpet apply pressure to remove any residual slime.

4 – Slowly pat down the area to pick up any residual and dry carpet

Repeat this process as many times as needed to soak up any slime and liquid left over

5 – Vacumn carpet to finish process

Using the vacumn completes the process with picking up any little bits left over and brings the carpet back to original look.
